We are a group of Media Studies graduate students at The University of Texas at Austin. Our purpose with this blog is to survey the cinematic landscape of Austin, TX and share our thoughts on the films we see with each other and with you. Thus, we will be posting reviews of every film we see in an Austin movie theater, in addition to miscellaneous items like Top 10 Lists and links to other writers who either contribute to our current discussions or create interesting new ones.
Our mission, plain and simple, is to encourage you, the reader, to put down your iPhone, turn off your DVR, and go enjoy the cinema at the cinema, in Austin or wherever you may live.
