I enjoyed this film for my second viewing, perhaps even more than my first visit back in September. The ugly characters and scenery act to create a surreal experience, and the semi-attractive leads serve to anchor this lunacy into an identifiable crises. Everything Jemaine says is hilarious, as is true of many of the supporting roles. Especially note worthy is the hideously-teethed Héctor Jiménez as Lonnie Donaho, homosexual filmmaker and president of Donaho studios. He does everything to great comedic weirdness, including a strange cooing that sets the film into a bizarre territory that it never truly recovers from.

The best picture of Lonnie I could find
